Delete your Keanan account

Last updated October 7, 2026

This page explains how to have your account in the Keanan app, published by Keanan, deleted along with the personal data it holds about you.

How Keanan accounts work

You cannot sign up for Keanan on your own. Your employer creates your account in its Keanan workspace, and the app connects to that workspace. Your employer decides what is stored about you, so deletion goes through them, with our help where we host the workspace.

Request deletion

  1. Ask your employer’s HR team or workspace administrator to delete your account. They can do it from the Keanan admin dashboard.
  2. If your employer does not respond, or no longer exists, email privacy@keanan.app from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Keanan account” and the name of your employer or its workspace address.
  3. We confirm receipt within 5 working days. Where we host the workspace, we coordinate with your employer and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your login, profile, contact details and profile photo
  • Time off requests and balances, clock in records
  • Expense claims and receipt images
  • Push notification tokens for your devices

What may be kept

Your employer may be legally required to keep some records after you leave, such as payslips, contracts and payroll records, typically for the retention period set by tax and employment law in its country. Those are kept by your employer for that period only and then deleted. Administrative audit entries are kept for up to 12 months for security.

Removing the app

Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your phone, including the saved workspace address and sign-in session. It does not delete your account; use the steps above for that.
