Self hosted license agreement

1. What you buy

The self hosted edition is a one time purchase, processed by Whop as our merchant of record, that grants your company a perpetual, non exclusive, non transferable license to run Keanan on infrastructure of your choice: one production deployment plus reasonable staging and development environments, for use by your company and the clients you serve under your brand.

2. Source access

The purchase includes access to the source repository so your team can audit the software, adapt branding and integrate internal systems. The source remains our confidential intellectual property. You may modify it for your own deployment; you may not publish it, sublicense it, sell it or offer Keanan itself as a competing product.

3. White label use

You may operate your deployment under your own name, logo and colors, and present it to your employees and clients as your platform. Attribution to Keanan is not required.

4. Updates and support

Twelve months of updates and email support at support@keanan.app are included from the date of purchase. After that your license keeps working unchanged; continued updates and support are available as an optional annual renewal.

5. Your responsibilities

You operate the deployment: infrastructure, backups, TLS, access control and compliance with the laws that apply to your data. The self hosting guide describes the supported setup. We process no personal data from self hosted deployments.

6. Warranty and liability

We warrant that the software substantially conforms to its documentation at delivery. Defects reported during the update period will be corrected within a reasonable time. Beyond that, the software is provided as is. Our total liability is capped at the license fee paid, except for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health, for which we are liable without limitation.

7. Termination

This license ends only if you materially breach it and do not cure the breach within 30 days of written notice. In that case you must stop using the software and delete your copies. Your data is yours and is unaffected.

8. Final provisions

The laws of Uganda apply, excluding conflict of law rules. Mandatory law of the customer’s jurisdiction remains unaffected. Questions about this agreement go to legal@keanan.app.
